Sleep/wake technician:

The job: Performs a variety of tasks to treat those with sleep/wake disorders such as insomnia, sleep apnea, narcolepsy and restless legs syndrome. Duties include conducting tests on patients, scoring those tests and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications: Minimum of associate’s degree and certification as respiratory care practitioner.

Salary range: $24,700 to $41,700.
